Amidst the 2020 lockdowns, Alessio Avezzano and Matthew McGill began brainstorming ideas for sketches, tailored for safe production while residing together in the Scottish countryside. These creative endeavors resulted in four noteworthy sketches, ultimately leading to the commissioning and approval of their sitcom pitch, Islelanders, by the BBC.
